On February 17, 2026, we had the pleasure of hosting professors and graduate students from Chulalongkorn University Graduate School. This visit was part of the university's "DeepTech Innovation Study Tour in Japan," aimed at providing students with an opportunity to learn about cutting-edge technologies in AI and sustainability.
First, our Business Solutions Architect team members introduced Recursive's initiatives based on its vision "Build a Fairer, More Sustainable Society Through AI" and discussed the direction of technology development utilizing generative AI and scientific AI. Then, Katsutoshi Yamada, Co-Founder and Chairman of Recursive, shared a wide range of specific examples across various fields, including environment, infrastructure, education, and business efficiency. Following this, we explained our efforts in AI solutions, sustainability, and AI governance, and also engaged in discussions about our organizational management and team culture.
The students listened attentively to the explanations, actively exchanging questions and opinions. They showed particular interest in practical examples such as automated grading systems for education, logistics optimization, and environmental monitoring projects, and demonstrated a deep understanding of the potential for AI technology in social applications and problem-solving. During the Q&A session, specific questions were raised, such as "How do you select AI projects?" and "What are the challenges in sustainable social implementation?" The Recursive team provided detailed explanations of their work processes and experiences in overseas projects, further enhancing their understanding of AI utilization from a global perspective.
Through this visit, the students were able to experience not only the potential of AI technology but also how it can be applied to solve social and environmental problems. The interaction with the students and faculty reaffirmed the significance of international collaboration and the development of next-generation talent. Recursive will continue to contribute to the realization of a sustainable and innovative society through the social implementation of AI technology and educational and outreach activities.
