【Event】Recursive's COO, Yamada, joins three other experts from Generative AI Japan and its member companies to speak at AI Expo

Katsutoshi Yamada, Co-founder and COO of Recursive, and Director of the AI industry association Generative AI Japan (GenAI), joined three other experts from GenAI and its member companies to speak at the AI Expo as part of his role as Director of GenAI. The event took place in Tokyo over two days, from August 29 to 30, 2024.

The title of the session was “Creating Business Value through Generative AI”, and four members from the board of Generative AI Japan and its member companies discussed how Japanese companies can win in using generative AI. The venue was filled to capacity, with discussions spanning from the latest trends in generative AI technology to its use cases in business enterprises.

Recursive is participating as a corporate member of Generative AI Japan (commonly known as GenAI), a general incorporated association launched in January 2024. Yamada was appointed as a board member of GenAI, which aims to enhance the industrial competitiveness of Japan as a whole by providing education, career opportunities, collaboration, co-creation, rule making, and proposals in the use of generative AI under the cooperation of industry and academia.

As a corporate board member, we aim to continue discussions on utilizing generative AI, establish industry standards based on user-aligned use cases, and work towards the dissemination of best practices moving forward.
